Confused why you are not losing weight though you have a diet program that has been guiding you in your venture? Well, this may just boil down to one reason and that is you’re following a wrong, ineffective diet program.

A lot of diet programs nowadays will imply that you need to have low calorie and low carb diets, eat low-fat foods, and get yourself some medications and supplements in order to lose weight. These actually make sense, but eventually, they are not effective and won’t ever pave the way for you to get the weight that you wanted.

If you are really eager to lose weight, you must get a diet program that can provide you the right approach and principles you need to know that can help you lose weight. Probably, one diet program you can try is that one by Isabel De Los Rios which is called the Diet Solution Program.

Uniqueness and Effectiveness

The diet program by Isabel De Los Rios is not like many other diet programs that promote usual principles like having low calorie and low carb diets, eating of low-fat foods, and taking of some medications and supplements to lose weight, that’s why it is effective. Above all, it promotes the principle of controlling insulin levels to lose weight.

At first, adhering to the principle may sound complicated. But author provided a list of foods and food combinations that will cause instant weight loss and that will cause quick weight gain so things would be simpler for you. You just have to master what are these foods and food combinations.

Value for Money

Aside from giving you the ultimate principle you can adhere to so you can lose weight, diet program also will provide you priceless facts that can also help you, thus allowing you to get good value for your money. Priceless facts actually include facts on the #1 health food that cause gain weight, answers as to why you shouldn’t buy dairy products, and facts on how you can determine your personal metabolism for better food choices.

Aside from some priceless facts, you’ll also enjoy a comprehensive shopping list that contains what to buy, specific serving sizes already computed for you, meal plans to follow everyday, lots of great recipes, and bonus exercise guides if you decide to try the diet program.

Tintin And His Enduring Popularity Across The World

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

Tintin is a character from a comic book that originated from Herge, an artist who was based in Belgium. Herge based him on a curious and sometimes funny Belgian newspaper reporter set in a world in the 1920’s. The character first appeared in a newspaper comic strip and its popularity grew as to see it published in many languages worldwide and soon to debut on the big screen.

The comics had a wide variety of characters. They were also based in a world very similar to the one we live in and thus a realistic portrayal of life as we knew then. It would turn out to be another reason why Tintin became one of the most popular cartoon characters in the modern world.

Like all good cartoon characters, Tintin has a sidekick. His sidekick is actually a dog, a white Fox terrier. Snowy became just as popular with readers as the main character, and many pet lovers were also pulled into its fan base.

Other characters that became just as well known as the main lead were Captain Haddock and Professor Calculus. Captain Haddock was akin to the grumpy dads that many of us had in our households. Professor Calculus reminded us of our smart teachers when we were in school.

Even though Tintin was immensely popular with children and adults of all ages, they were not short of their critics. Some of them have denounced the comics as being negative and taught the wrong values. But there has not been a single bad incident citing reading Tintin as the cause of it.

With the comics having gained such a huge following, it was no surprise when a Tintin live action movie was announced. The film will reach the silver screen in 2009 and fans are anticipating it eagerly. More new fans are expected to be inducted once they have seen the movie.

Comic fans are not the only ones to have heard of Tintin. Artists like Andy Warhol have cited the comic character as a key influence in their work. Musicians have also been inspired by its imagination and adventurous spirit.

As the comics explore different worlds, they continue to draw in curious readers from every part of the world. With various themes in mystery, adventure and even space travel, there is something for everyone from the life episodes of Tintin.

LJ James reviews “Sons Of Anarchy”

Sunday, February 8th, 2009

I have just finished watching the second episode of the new FX show “Son’s of Anarchy”. I have been a fan of the FX Show “The Shield” for years and I have to say, I have enjoyed “Sons of Anarchy” so far. The show has cool bikes and lots of action!

As a Member of an Outlaw Motorcycle Club, I have already seen many mistakes in the show. One thing that’s really surprising to me is how people have reacted to the show and me personally. People who know I’m a member of a Motorcycle Club are asking me, “You guys aren’t like that, are you?” Some of these people have known me for years! Now after a couple of episodes of “Sons of Anarchy” their wondering if I’m leading some kind of double life.

Can you imagine if a show about criminal killer Florists came out? Would people ask them if they where really like that? One fact of life about being a Biker I have come to except is, it’s real easy for people to think of Bikers as the bad guys. It’s always been that way. I wonder how many Cops had people ask them the same question when the Shield came out? I also wonder how many Cops who watch the Shield and know that show is fiction will watch “Sons of Anarchy” and think that’s how Motorcycle Clubs really are! The show “Sons of Anarchy” is fiction and it is way over the top.

Son’s of Anarchy is going to shine a bright light into the Motorcycle Club world. Where as the last ten years have been all about Motorcycle Builders and has led to a lot of people getting into Motorcycle Riding, I believe the next ten years will be all about Motorcycle Clubs. Now this show could be a good thing for Motorcycle Clubs if, in-between all the fictional action, it also focuses on the bond of Brotherhood Motorcycle Clubs are really based on.

Although there is opportunity for “Sons of Anarchy” to make a positive statement about Motorcycle Clubs, I have a feeling the show will have a negative impact on Clubs, Independent Bikers, and the Motorcycle Community in general. All they would have to do is highlight the good stuff Motorcycle Clubs do and the positive impact that they have on their communities, I don’t think that is the way the program will go.

All Motorcycle Clubs are going to need to keep their eyes wide open and watch any new prospects. MCs need to make sure that new prospects are there for the Brotherhood and betterment of the Club and the community, not to live out some misguided fantasy they may have seen on TV or in some Movie. Another big concern of mine is people who will just go out and throw on a set of patches and think they are the “Sons of Anarchy”. The Motorcycle Club world is all about Respect and there is a serious protocol that is followed by all Clubs. I would not recommend violating that protocol in any way.

Motorcycle Clubs have spent the better part of the past 20 years working hard to shake the old biker gang stereotype of the 60’s and 70’s.
